MEET THE OWNERS
Josh & Lizzie met in State College in 2003 while Lizzie was completing her BA in Visual Arts and after Josh had served 4 honorable years in the United States Marine Corps' Infantry. Lizzie was born and raised in State College and moved to Boston with Josh in 2004 after completing her education at Penn State University. Once in Boston, the two were actively involved in both the real estate and pet industries. In 2008, they opened up their own real estate brokerage where they successfully brokered millions of dollars in real estate transactions. In 2010, Lizzie & Josh started their own pet care company where they won the Boston A-List Awards for the city's Best Dog Walker & city's Best Pet Sitter for every year in business.
Throughout this time they continued helping clients with real estate needs including purchases, sales, decluttering, staging, and interior design. In 2014 the two welcomed the birth of their son Ignacio and set their sites on a return to Centre County. At this time, Josh started apprenticing with a local real estate developer before being recruited to work with another developer as their Acquisitions Manager. During his time in Acquisitions, Josh helped build rapport
with distressed homeowners, negotiate the sale of their homes, and worked alongside the developers throughout the various stages of the property developments. Meanwhile, Lizzie continued to run the day to day operations of their pet care company. After gaining a wealth of knowledge while growing their businesses in Boston, Lizzie & Josh marketed & sold their pet care business in order to return to State College to be closer to family.
Josh continues to hold an active Real Estate Broker License in Massachusetts and has also completed the process of obtaining his Associate Broker License in Pennsylvania. He brought eXp Realty to Central Pennsylvania and this not only allows him to work with sellers and buyers in Centre County and surrounding areas but also allows him to sell their own projects.
Today, Parra Design & Build completes projects ranging from single family gut renovations to acquiring investment properties as well as overseeing and project managing whole house remodels, designs, & additions for their homeowner clients.
